About The Fisherman’s Daughter

The Big Fisherman Beginnings

This 530 pound Grouper which was brought in to the Aransas Pass Harbor, was taken to the Big Fisherman Restaurant in El Paso, Texas for their Grand Opening in 1957.

Mr. William Louis Stevens III, came to Aransas Pass once a week for fresh seafood for his restaurants. The Big Fisherman opened its Rockport location in 1978 and has been family owned and operated since 1957.

The Fisherman’s Daughter is locally owned by Patricia Stevens-Neill, Danny Neill and Francis Neill and operated by Patricia. “The Big Fisherman, The Fisherman’s Daughter, the tradition continues” is how Patricia likes to introduce the restaurant. She loves that she is continuing the dream that her dad, Bill Stevens started in the restaurant business in 1957. They specialize in Seafood and Steaks but have a side variety of options to choose from.
